This book was about two best friends, Derek and Rory. They never had a fight. They were the best of friends. That summer a girl named Bolivia came to town. She wanted to be friends with Rory and Derek, but they promised not to speak to her. When the two boys dressed alike, so did Bolivia. Finaly, the boys talked to her. Derek started to like Boliva but Rory didn't. For the last two weeks of summer, Derek went to camp, but Rory didn't. Then they had their first fight. While Derek was gone, Rory also started to like Bolivia. When Derek went home, Bolivia left.
The Hot and Cold Summer it's a children's book for an age between 9 and12 years old
